experimental photo of Mont Saint Michel

The original of this photo (unadulterated) was taken ten years ago.  

Prompted by a friend, I was curious to see how I whether (and if so how) I could turn it into what might be called "Railway Poster" style, i. e. a style which predominated in the early and middle 1900s.

This is the result of about ten minutes computer work, and not yet finished.  

In case you were wondering, no Photoshop was used.  
(That is only because I have never used it.)
