Mindego Hill
On a day of fleeting clouds and sun, Mindego Hill on the left, and Borel Hill on the right. Borel Hill is higher, but Mindego is a more distinctive shape. I've always wondered about the origin of the name Mindego - whether it came from the language of the original coastal tribes or was a modern invention. Today I learned that it is based on the name of a Basque settler of the mid 1800s, called Juan Mendacoa. - or so they say. (extra)
