prickly perch

Today I deep cleaned the house in preparation for the arrival of my sister in law (her hubby, my brother, died 4 years ago and this is her first visit here without him). She is sensitive to animals, but more so to cats than dogs, so I want her to be comfortable here.
Tomorrow, hubby and I leave for Denver for an overnight birthday party for a friend, and then on Thursday we head to the Denver aiport to pick up my s-i-l and come home to a clean house! Woo hoo!
We are having beautiful, warm weather, so I took a moment to go to our local nature center and snap this mountain chickadee. At first it was feeding on a pine cone, but the light was behind it and the photos didn't come out. So here it is on another prickly perch.
