Wine with Dom

I had a run planned, this morning. Chatting to the Minx on the way back from dropping Dan at work, she pointed out how cold and windy it was. "Hm, seems OK up here, I replied."

And so it was as I ran out to Kearstwick then north past Nether Hall, up towards Rigmaden. It was on the final stretch towards the hamlet there that the chill wind really hit me, barrelling its way down the valley. And after that it really didn't let up, to the extent that rather extending the run out to 13.1 miles, I cut home and only did twelve and a quarter.

God, it was good to get back in the house and to enjoy a hot shower, even if I did spend the whole afternoon blowing my nose. (Apart from an awesome 45 minute nap.)

Late afternoon, I drove down to see the Minx and then walked into Chorley for a couple of glasses of wine with Dom. It was, as it always is, splendid to see him and chat about everything from the joy of art - poetry, music, comics, films - to the car crash of Brexit.
