THE DRY RUN

Before gluing it's very often a good plan to have a "dry run" to make sure that when everything's clamped together - it all fits!.

In this case it's just gluing the "pillar" (the rising curve) to the "neck" (the complicated downward curve).

I fact, when these two are glued together, no more gluing will be required - the tension of the strings will pull everything into place!!
