Christmas Tradition

Time for the decorations to go up. This is one of our Danish-style paper Christmas hearts that my Dad taught me how to make when I was a kid. They are called Julehjerte in Danish and the design dates back to the mid nineteenth century. Supposedly the oldest known examples were made by Hans Christian Anderson the writer, although his doesn't have the handle to hang it on a tree.
