All Change
There were two problems with the Christmas tree. It was starting to look a bit dry and we discovered it hasn't been drinking much, in spite of TJ sawing a piece off the bottom as advised. The second factor was the lights I'd put on it which were a mix of gold and bright white, bought in error last year and never used. They were just too bright and in your face as you came through the door!
Nothing for it, but to undress the tree completely, saw another piece off the bottom and redo the lights with an old (and not very bright) set of warm white ones. Not sure this is working either, but it will have to do:-) At least they go better with the lights I've added to the garland on the stairs now.
PS I've added a "Before" picture as an Extra to show the difference. Which do you prefer?
A horrible wet and dreich day, but we had to venture out as TJ had a Cardiac Assessment at PRI this morning. It's a follow up on the leaky valve that was discovered a few years ago and which doesn't seem to be causing him any problems. We just came straight home afterwards, as it wasn't a day for wandering around. Hope tomorrow is an improvement, as we are back at PRI for my eye assessment!
