McCaig sunset

A mixed-up day today - showers on and off after a windy night. Before picking Mrs M up from her Tuesday afternoon activity I drove up to the viewpoint at Pulpit Hill, but it was a little too early to catch the lights of town coming on and it was quite simply - dull!

Back home however, rushing in from a heavy downpour, the sky to the south-west was brightening and at 3.30pm the sun appeared for the first time today, sinking into the cloud behind the entrance portal of McCaig's Tower. A long telephoto shot from the patio door, then severely cropped, it's not the clearest of pictures, but I liked it!
