Shopping trip

I am going to a Murder Mystery evening on Friday and needed to get some clothes to make me look a bit outlandish.
Bought an odd green shirt, knitted multi red striped tie and trilby hat. All to go with Prince of Wales check suit.
Tried it all on for a laugh and hit a problem.
It looked OK. The only amusing bit was my belly hanging over the top of the trousers.
I have a problem, other than possibly bad taste. I need to start again.
Emergency trip to eBay got me a waistcoat. Maybe that will ruin the ensemble
