The Bass Rock

Another busy day for all of us, but much nicer weather than yesterday – we were back to blue skies.  TT went to church and I went to collect BB from his sleepover.  Thankfully he was ready for football – everyone else in the household was still in their pjs.  I dropped him at football and headed home to sort out some more lifts to a birthday party this afternoon, while TT went to watch the football match.  Once the lifts were sorted, I  had to go and pick up my scout post.  It won’t get delivered until next Friday at the earliest, when I am at home in daylight!

When I got home, BB and friend had been picked up and were off to Aquadash at the Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh.  TT and I had a quick lunch, then headed to Dunbar (spotting the skiffing of snow on the Lammermuirs) for a  walk in the last of the sunshine and daylight.  We followed this up with a trip to the supermarket.

Once back home, I got stuck into the ironing mountain and TT cooked and in between times, he sorted out the Christmas tree, ready for me to decorate.  BB re-appeared somewhere I the midst of all this.

We had a lovely tea, cooked from one of TT’s advent calendar recipes and served with his Christmas chutney.

The tree is decorated, but there is now stuff everywhere.  I sat down in the midst of the mess and watched TV for a  while.  I’ll tidy up tomorrow evening.

Here’s a view to the Bass Rock.
