Heavy

Got a good result this morning , ive been looking for an anvil for several years now and finally I got offerd one out of the blue :)
It is a peter wright patent one which are a good make. From what I can gather the markings on the side say 'solid forged' and because this is not circled it is pre 1860 and the numbers 2 3 21 mean its weight. The 2 refers to 2 cwt which is 112 per cwt ,the 3 means 3/4 of a cwt and the 21 means 21 lbs so if you add it all up its weight is 329 lbs or around 149 kg, this seems about right as I put it on the scales and they read about 148 kg give or take a bit.
Put it this way it took some getting out of the back of my truck and into the garage .
