Grey Phalarope

At last the wind has dropped and the rain has abated. After three days without ferries the shops were looking a bit thin with no eggs, milk or bread, today however some food arrived.
Tricia's day for spinning on South Uist and I acted as the chauffeur, taking the opportunity to bird there. I was put onto this little beauty by a birding friend.
It was just offshore feeding with a flock of Common Gulls. The usual caveat about it being almost dark, raining and windy, but the image is identifiable if not artisitc.
