At the market
Had to go downtown today for an appointment and I had some time to kill so I wandered around the market. There is a small store that sells all kinds of Mexican hand crafts - the colors are reminiscent of a bright sunny day in the Mexican countryside. Shelves were filled with all kinds of strangely weird and sometimes beautiful crafts. I even saw something with the same beaded treatment of the ornament I posted a few days ago (extra).
As I wandered back up Pike Street to go to my appointment, it seemed like I was seeing Santas everywhere - all kinds of people in all kinds of Santa get-ups. I found out later that they were all participating in SantaCon which is where you dress up like Santa and go bar hopping. I waded through Santas 5 deep to get by the Hard Rock Cafe where they were lined up to get in and get their drink on. I don't know why I was surprised, this is Seattle after all! Undoubtedly, there are a lot of drunk Santas downtown right now.
