It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
A dry, not cold sort of a day, so I got about 4,000 steps in by walking home from Akmerkez shopping centre where I'd bought vittles to take to Sarah's Christmas party this evening, which turned out to be the jolly occasion of neighbour friend colleagues and others, that is a good way to officially launch the Christmas season. Earlier, I'd even managed to take a few seasonal decorations out of storage - so that's a start. Robin arrives on Friday, staying for Christmas, so there is motivation to make the lounge at least, look festive.
Aches and pains and panic were severely reduced this afternoon by Edith the miracle working reflexologist. Even with two beers at the party, I kept within my daily carbs allowance, (cos the whiskey doesn't count!!) and although I didn't get to 10,000 steps, it was a good day for dealing with what ever it is that ails me these three months and trying to lower my blood sugar level. So today I am grateful for having more positive energy, for Sarah's Christmas party, and most especially for Edith the healer whose words and advice were as helpful as her hands.
