Goodness me it was challenging up there today. The ground was solid and the rain was freezing all the surfaces with a verglas making it treacherous. Still lovely though and blew the week's cobwebs away.

This morning I unintentionally did a memory test by forgetting my shopping list. I was rather chuffed that I remembered 25 of 29 items, even if one was remembered only as I was halfway home (worryingly it was alcohol so obviously I went back for it). It reminded me of that game 'My Mother went to Market and bought ....'.. I bet she didn't buy Ameretto to have a go at making her own Ameretti Biscuits.

I'm finding the political satire wonderfully comforting and a relief at the moment. Just loved 'Dead Ringers' today and the remastered version of 'Monty Python's Holy Grail' and Andy Serkis's resurrection of Gollum in The Independent.
