Mug memory

I thought one of my favourite BFC mugs was appropriate. This mug was commissioned in 2007 10 years after BFC got to the premier league. It was the first and so far only occasion we got there. When we beat Bradford to get promotion April 26th 1997 to see 1000 wizened old coal miners and locals clapping and pretending not to cry, is a memory which will stay with me forever. My friend Bob, tapped me on the shoulder to say something I could not respond it was just too emotional.

Well at BFC today on probably the coldest day of the year. I had eight layers of clothing, hot soup for lunch, thick socks but still cold. Football was great, we deserved to win against the top of the league but a draw was good. I have just thawed out. Whether in the premier or division one you never desert your team, it’s a life sentence.
