Happy To Be 60

Last night at the birthday celebration for our friend Ali.  It was surprise gathering organised by her family.  She knew something was up but not the scale of it.  She has four sisters and when they were children her mother sewed all their clothes and dressed them alike.  I was in her mothers house once and saw the line of photos on wall with the girls posing for the camera at various ages.  Her oldest sister Elaine found four dresses the same in a closing down sale.  A feat in itself I thought.  One sister lives in Scotland so hers was posted over.  Here are the three New Zealand sisters talking on Skype to her in Scotland.  It was a fun night and the dresses are still making me smile.  There was some grumbling from the sisters about wearing them so those childhood memories last a long time.  Happy birthday Ali.
