Beer or wine?

Couldn't decide what aperitif to have whilst cooking dinner so plumped for one of the more experimental beers from our local brewery. Bit of an experimental dinner too as I attempt a langoustine bisque-like pasta sauce from yesterdays leftover shells. Smells good but the proof will be in the eating!
