The lake house

Today our friends Don and Diane took us to their lake house. We left around lunch time and stopped on the way for lunch. We stopped at a 'typically southern' place and had BBQ pulled pork and chicken sandwiches. Then we carried on our journey and stopped at a place called 'goats on a roof' which is literally where some goats live on the roof of a couple of buildings. You can buy some goat food- which comes in a small ice cream cone and use one of two pulley systems to get it on the roof. As soon as the goats hear the chain moving they come running over and push each other out of the way to get the food. It was very funny.
This is the view across the lake from their house, it's beautiful there and so peaceful!
Jess came up to join us in the afternoon and then we all went out to dinner. What a lovely day.
