Gaststube

The translation restaurant for 'Gaststube' does not fit so well. Probably there is no suitable translation at all. In a traditional guesthouse there are usually several rooms for eating and drinking. The simpler 'guest room' and then a dining room for a larger meal.

Today we were here (in the dining room) for lunch with my mother and other relatives. The inn is family-run and traditionally decorated (by the men) during the Christmas season.
