Turkey and Tinsel!

Elf and safety!!
Our church Christmas event: A Coffee morning plus with coffee, teas, mulled wine, mince pies, cakes and Turkey, stuffing and cranberry sandwiches.

Chris, grumpy Christmas and his elf helper Anne, are seen here on sandwich making duty in the kitchen.
I was the drinks maker and when you have stood doing it for over nearly four hours you're certainly ready for a mulled wine or two!
Lots of people came despite the bitter weather - they were coming in wrapped up as if they had come from the arctic.
The sandwiches certainly went down well and we even managed a few minutes to eat one our selves.
Great help form our waitresses too. A big hamper draw will take place tomorrow.

Leaving just after 2.00pm the rain had arrived as promised and the car windscreen was iced over.  Wet and icy everywhere. No snow thank fully.
Glad we are now in for a cosy evening.
