Twin Towers

thanks to everyone who read about my limp limb ( as coined by azlee) the last two days so that they can understand my new fondness for the style of e.e. cummings.

this is a little bit of a retro look at mt hopkins and mt. whitson in the santa rita range as viewed from a new vantage point i found in tubac, arizona.

if you enlarge the blip, you will be more clearly be able to see the whipple observatory on the top of mt. hopkins.

astronomy is a multi-billion dollar industry in southern arizona. we have some of the world's clearest night skies and one of the finest scientific universities to help sustain and cooperate with leading institutions and researchers.

we even have dark sky laws. for instance, there may be no lights on billboards and street lights must be pointed in a downward direction. we are proud to be the center of the country's "eyes on the sky".
