Solo

The only time I saw my wee girl during her school Festival of Christmas Music, thanks to the hat of the cello teacher near her, was when she stood up for her solo. She played beautifully, though her teacher had needed to slow it down during rehearsals so she could play the part. This frustrated katie a little, bless her. But she played it well, even if it did sound slightly held back.

She’s loved the day. It’s basically just been music after music after music, aside from a 10 minute necessity of spelling and timestables tests. Clarinet practise, school for rehearsal, first performance, choir rehearsal, parent performance, home for piano practise and then band rehearsal after that. Ideal to a little Katie!
