Birthdays are Beautiful

Beautiful weather, scenery, birds, companions . . . it was all beautiful on my birthday!
The four of us spent the day walking the trails of Elkhorn Slough Reserve which is halfway between Santa Cruz and Monterey on Monterey Bay.
Birds, critters (I claimed I was going to keep a list . . . ), land, and sky; all of it was perfectly great, and topped off with a birthday cupcake, candle, and even singing.
Later, it was a yummy dinner at Laili, a Mediterranean spot downtown.
All day long I heard from siblings and friends (including more singing), making me feel like the very lucky woman I am.
