Tide turning

Work took a turn for the worse at the end of the week. The company announced some redundancies, 5 roles which included me. It wasn’t a total surprise for me as the bit of business I was working on crumbled with a few clients not renewing contracts, and the company we used for some of our research announced they were closing. And for our company as a whole, growth plans hadn’t quite hit the mark this year. I am one of the longest standing employees there. I hope they will miss me.

To escape gloomy thoughts we went out for a stroll at Aberlady and then lunch in a new cafe in Gullane.
