Flying Deer

Rudolf was getting in some flying practice ahead of the big day…

OK, OK - I know it is not a reindeer - but seeing it airborne like this made me smile :-)

I reckon I was lucky to get any shot - we disturbed this deer and it jumped out of the elephant grass just a few metres in front of us. I was trying to juggle a demented Finlay (who was trying to get off after it) and get my SLR out of the bag. All things considered I don’t think it is too bad.
