Rtf Christmas party
My Brother was invited to the royal theatrical fund Christmas party at Theatre Royal Drury Lane and invited me as his plus one, I’ve been a couple of times with him before, it’s lovely, complimentary wine and canapés and festive turkey or vegetarian baps and chocolate brownie, lovely speech from Michael Ball who then sang white Christmas with Samantha Bond.
It’s a bit like reliving your childhood television memories, we saw Derek Jacobi this year on previous years we have seen Jeffrey Palmer and George Roper.
I was happy to see Daphne Selfe again, little picture of her behind the choir singers, we did say a few words and I told her how much I enjoy getting her newsletters.
My brother is definitely looking better than he was and able to do more, I recognised somebody I met once 12 years ago In Torquay at my friend Marc JB’s dad’s house, his name is Adrian and he is in the photograph with my brother and I, lovely man.
The choir were stunning, beautiful harmonies.
We went to Covent Garden afterwards for coffee, it’s so festive and beautiful up in London.
Back home I felt exhausted, Max made a delicious pasta and we watched a film called Dumplin’ It was really sweet with Gulliver.
Happy birthday to Max’s daughter Ruby who turned 30 today XXX
