Wyong Butter Factory.
Well, part of the factories waste treatment plant. Many years ago the federal government deregulated the dairy industry. The result was the consolidation of regional milk processing plants, causing factories in regional towns to close. Although the Wyong factory rebirth has been a spectacular success, this has not been the case across regional Australia with thousands of jobs lost. The Wyong Milk Factory contains several restaurants, cheese production, gym and many other popular activities. Continuing the water theme is a blip of Wyong Creek, the creek would have been the sole water supply. The water ladder in the foreground would have been used to return the unused water back to the creek while removing the majority of solids.
Today’s extra photo is a view heading south from Broken Hill to Peterborough in South Australia, and yes it is really flat.
Hope you have a great weekend.
