2018 Monday — Magenta

This evening’s sunset was spectacular. A very nice conclusion to a very sad day.

Early this afternoon I was working in my campus office when our granddaughter Ashly contacted me. Her news was devastating. Her uncle Scott was found dead in his home this morning. Scott is the younger brother of our former son-in-law. He was 51 years old and a bachelor who was never married and never had children. Terri is his twin sister.

Everyone is guessing that he had a heart attack. He was a lot of fun with a crazy humorous personality and a marvelous artist.

Our entire family is stunned. The brevity of life is a reality today.

Scott was a Christian; had made his reservation in Heaven a long time ago when he was a teenager as he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. Scott’s name was written in the Book of Life at that moment. The New Testament book of Revelation addresses that fact.

This has been a day to pause and ponder!
