Marjorie's ramblings

Around Humshaugh

I managed to fit in a walk this morning and just caught one shot of this farmer on his quad bike as he turned into a gateway ahead of me. I like the unusual "sheep dog".

The main event of the day was a trip to Cramlington to see Heidi, the lovely physio.

"Aggie, Aggie, did you hear what Heidi said?  She said that I have very good movements for this stage. That was good, wasn't it?"

"Yes, Arth, that was good. You've done well.!

"I wasn't so sure about having microhaemorrhages in the synovium though. At least I know why I have so much pain now. I have to have more ice packs and more pain killers and less exercises. Did you know that super sportsmen like Andy Murray go into a bath of ice after their matches to stop the micro haemorrhages? Perhaps I'm a bit like Andy Murray?"

"Arth, if you think I'm getting into a bath of ice, you have another think coming! Now remember, you still have to go walking every day and you have new exercises to help with the pain. Don't get above yourself whatever you do!"

"Aggie, you are not always nice to me. I'm the one who is suffering. I'm not talking any more."

So, I may have been pushing poor Arth a bit hard with his exercises. At least I know what the problem is and it is nothing more serious. It may delay me driving for a few extra days.

It was a jolly outing to Cramlington. Peter, a walking friend and former patient of Heidi's, was the driver. The other Marjorie came along because her appointment was straight after mine.

In other news, Mum has a couple of crushed vertebrae. Our GP is coming in tomorrow to talk to us about it. No wonder she has been in a lot of pain.
