Duck in detritus

Poor Mrs Mallard - only because my sudden appearance at the railing disturbed her did she stop dabbling in the flotsam that surrounds her. There's probably some nutritious vegetable matter in there, but I wonder how much plastic is in her digestive system? I saw a photo of a gull pellet the other day, taken out on one of the Forth islands, that was almost all plastic and included a cotton bud.

I am very angry for her.
