The Arches

This is a section of Bolton's Civic Centre known as The Arches.  The other side looks out onto Le Mans Crescent and the town hall.  I think this area of the town centre is full of character and, thankfully, the buildings are protected by Grade II status.   In contrast, other areas of the town centre are an uncomfortable mix of old buildings with either inappropriate modernisation or juxtaposed with concrete new builds.
