Because I'm happy..............

Went to M & S this morning and did  the food shop. It was bitterly cold, so we didn't hang about, and I was glad to get back home, After lunch, J went out the garage, to paint a crane he had made for his new model railway board, and I was cleaning the bathroom. I could hear J talking to someone, and I was wondering who it was. It was our daughter, who had called to deliver the Christmas cards. While we were chatting, Katie, our g/daughter phoned, with some absolutely wonderful news. She had just received an email form the Welsh Government, to inform her that she has got the job she applied for a few weeks ago.  This is the best Christmas present we could have hoped for.  While we were saying goodbye to our daughter, Mrs Blackbird was sitting in a tree near the gate, so that's my blip sorted.
