Counting Blessings

A day of mixed emotions today...my youngest has reached the dizzying heights of 21; which we will celebrate this evening. Meanwhile my brother has been to the funeral of a childhood friend...diagnosed with a brain tumour just a few weeks ago, he was told there was nothing could be done and he might see Christmas. Sadly he didn’t.

As a brain tumour survivor of nearly 10 years I count my blessings every day that mine was operable and I lived to both tell the tale and see my kids grow up. Count it a privilege to grow old...it’s one that isn’t afforded to everyone.
