Beach Artist

Artist David Faithfull led a workshop on Portobello Beach this morning for Edinburgh Printmakers. Those taking part screen printed images of plastic bottles onto the sand using a black ink made from squid ink and seaweed. The bottles were lined up in the shape of a much larger bottle and stayed for less than hour before being washed away to highlight the issue of marine pollution.
