Awareness day

We often do Disability Awareness stuff out of the office but had never done an in-house session.

Five speakers told their stories giving insight into some of their daily challenges with activities we all do without thinking. Eddie is generally a pretty spiffy dresser but no one knew he can’t tie his shoe laces other than his mates who do the job for him before they head to work each morning.

Year end awards for achievement were presented with lots of hilarity as people vied for the accolades of being the noisiest, the most colourful (S knows who I am referring to), the one with the best excuses etc., Eddie won the last one hands down but it was good to reflect on a great year and the contributions made by everyone to make it so.

The last minute scramble to get stuff done before I closed my office door finally for the year.

A wee visit to Frats has set us up nicely for our next adventure starting tomorrow.
