Oh Christmas Tree

Today began early again for us as it was the third and final time that we had to get Violet up and out to her before school childminder.  She really was a trooper and it's been a pleasure to have her for these past few days.
The early start meant that we went on to achieve quite a lot during the rest of the day: laundry room sorted, minor household repairs done, staff Christmas gifts purchased and Christmas cards arranged in the hall, plus another batch written ready for posting..
Such a busy day meant that like the last two, I had little time for photographing anything.  Late this evening I have made the effort to take a phone shot of my latest piece of Spode Christmas Tree.  I love this charming nostalgic design which was first made in 1938.  I only have selected pieces though, not an entire dinner service: that would be too much, even for me!
