Winter mist
Thanks for all the hearts for yesterday's fungi - I'm glad you loved them as much as me!
Today was mostly taken up by visiting Molly, with a quick visit to our favourite farm shop on the way home. I didn't take my camera, which was a shame, as the fens were wreathed in fog and mist, with occasional bursts of sunlight breaking through. But sometimes you just have to enjoy the spectacle.
By the time I was free to go out for a walk the sun was setting, though early promise of a spectacular sunset faded gently as it was engulfed by grey clouds. As I neared the car the mist started rising, gently undulating blankets of water droplets hovering eerily above the grass. Even now, this phenomenon produces butterflies in my stomach...
