Oaks in Charnwood Tennis Club Christmas Lunch

Len took me along as he's an enthusiastic playing member. Always a jolly affair and woe betide you if you didn't wear a hat. Everyone is very friendly.

I took along a speedlight as I was sure the interior would be dark, which it was. This has come out OK. Only caught one person putting food into her mouth.

The salmon starter was excellent. The turkey average. But I did get some gluten free Christmas pud. And there was the complimentary glass of prosecco to begin.

Came home and slept for one and a half hours. Perhaps it was the large glass of malbec I had with the meal. Must find my proper winter hat so I can go out on the bus with Basil tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

I liked the view out of the window at the Wheatsheaf Inn, Woodhouse Eaves. Lots of texture. See extra.
