Isca Augusta
Whilst Mrs BB went out mid morning to get her hair 'sorted' I drove the twenty minutes to Caerleon Roman Ampitheatre, near Newport (South Wales, UK) to grab a photograph of it for the Wide Wednesday challenge on the theme of 'something old'. The Ampitheatre dates from AD75 and contained 6000 seats to watch gladiator combats and other entertainments. Caerleon was one of only three Roman Legionary Fortresses in Britain and was in occupation for 200 years.
This afternoon we did our Christmas food shop nicely paid for by the Asda credit card cashback accumulation. Mrs BB has finished her christmas present shopping and even wrapped them!
