Frosted marigold

Looking as if it's been dipped in egg white and sugar, a frosted marigold, as winter has arrived to stay a while. There is some sun as well, hurray, that can lift the spirit a bit, but the situation the world is in is not any better today of course. Tears, sadness and helplessness for Strasbourg, despair for the political situation in the UK, again helplessness for the many places where war creates havoc, can we please have less 'interesting times' ?
