The dark tower

The weather was cold and frosty but the sun was shining and that was enough incentive for me to take my daughter for a long(ish) walk along East Sands beach and up into St Andrews for Christmas shopping, coffee and cake.

Along the way we dropped into the ruined cathedral and I fell in love with the peculiar look of this tower.
