Tree Lighting
This evening we had the Christmas tree lighting in the village square. My job was to circulate with trays of hot mince pies. I was very popular - but not quite as popular as Helen, who was handing out the mulled wine!
After Santa had put in his appearance, and the Salvation Army band had played some carols, there was a family tea in the hall, followed by a pantomime. Quite a night!
We bowed out after the the carols, and headed for the Garden Club AGM. At this time of the year there is so much going on, and just not enough Friday nights to fit them all in! We managed to avoid being voted onto the committee, but managed to fit in a couple more mince pies!
