Early computer

Before the days of scientific electronic calculators slide rules were employed to make calculations. This is an early form of analog computer that was very popular but fell out of use by 1974. I learned how to use this slide rule but never became proficient in its use.

My slide rule is of fairly good quality. It is constructed of bamboo. It operates as smoothly now as it did 47 years ago.
