A walk in the sunshine
There is a path at the bottom of our road which leads into some woods, and I often walk Murdoch there, but all of last week they had diggers and trucks in there cutting down trees and chopping up the wood. For a moment I was worried they were clearing it to build some houses but of course it is all green belt area so that cannot happen -I think they were just thinning out the trees as they tend to do around here from time to time. The result is it has been left very muddy and churned up and so not a good place to go for a walk at the moment. So instead we went to the heath today, which was lovely in the sunshine as can be seen here.
The walk was followed by a visit to the dog groomer and Murdoch came out looking very neat and dapper again - smelling of doggie perfume with a ridiculous little red bow tied to his collar, I am sure he would have been embarrassed if only he realised what he looked like.
I then spent an extraordinary amount of time trying to change the sky in an image, by using the method of selecting channels. I have done it once before but for the life of me I could not get it right and no amount of Youtube videos could help. I gave up in frustration!
Tonight Gavin is out at a work function - hmm, do I read my excellent book Transcription (by Kate Atkinson) or do I watch The Sinner (BBC 4) or My Brilliant Friend (Sky Atlantic) both brilliant TV shows.
