Fisherman's Song

Evening all,

This is a snapshot, not taken by me (!) of a local Alnmouth fisherman who seems to go by the name of Razor Bill i think, and was taken in the mid 1880's.

By the look of him i would suggest that it is a slightly ill chosen sobriquet, and he would probably benefit more from a nickname closer to fact:

Something along the lines of "Fishy Whiskers Bill", or "Bill- pick the bits out of that missus"

Anyhow, although he and his beard may have long since passed into legend and memory, his photo still remains in the Alnmouth boat house and probably a bit of his spirit...and his fishy pong!!!
