Morning from the window

A vivid sky had me hopping for my camera this morning.

Ros picked me up to go to the combined book group lunch - there are now 4 groups in the village. As ours was the first we got into inviting the others to one of our homes to swap books, then have lunch and a literary quiz. This year Pat hosted. The quiz was fun - pictures of authors, a round with a list of books under which was a list of dates. You had to match the dates of publication with the titles and add the author. Finally there were quotes requiring the name of the book and the author.

Tonight we went over to Alnwick to meet a couple we’d met in Japan who have a holiday flat up here. They are a really nice and we had a good evening. They aren’t retired yet but hope to move up here when their youngest is finished uni. They are keen walkers so we look forward to them joining our walking group.
