Elegance

I just love the magnificent and somewhat elegant construction of cooling towers and these particular ones are at the Ironbridge (Buildwas) Power Station. The power station produces enough power to supply approximately 750,000 homes and is located in the Severn Gorge, only 0.5 miles upstream from Ironbridge, Shropshire, a world heritage site and a very interesting place to visit. towers.

After returning to the ...... retail park .... with T this afternoon and eventually having had a slightly more successful shop than last Sat. I asked him if we could go home via Ironbridge so that I could take a few shots of the towers. You can take a lovely peaceful walk by the R.Severn with lovely views of the towers and the River, lots of wildlife and more. Unfortunately we got there a bit late so the lighting was difficult so I only had a short but quite bracing walk.
