Stepping back in time

I walked out of the shop to be met with this bird. It was like stepping back in time for me. Many years ago we had a couple of white peacocks that unfortunately met their end when a fox broke through the fence. It appears we have a new couple and here is the male. When he gets his full feathers in the spring he will be beautiful!

Another lunch disaster today. Twice last week I forgot to take a sandwich to work for lunch. Today I made a scrummy tuna and cucumber sandwich and then remembered I was due to take our volunteer and another staff member to lunch. Mr L was very grateful and said he would happily eat the sandwich for me. The staff did their tour, prepared and set up for tomorrow and declared it was too early for lunch so could we just go for coffee and a cake. I had a mince pie and cappuccino for lunch, and Mr L texted to say the sandwich was delicious and could I make him one for tomorrow too!

The blow up chair is not so comfortable this evening!
