Tired of waiting

Blackbirds and thrushes were having a lunch with rowan berries when we took our Sunday walk and decided to watch the proceedings. This fellow clearly would have gone for the one hanging above it, if only we would not have been there. Well, after a few shots, we decided not to keep him waiting any more and left it to continue its lunch without human disturbance.

Nice crisp day (-9), and the sun was out but partly obscured by some thin layers of cloud. The branches clearly show the sunlight. The plumage of the blackbirds looked quite interesting, like they were wearing winter coats, almost like quilted jackets.
